Many homeowners may think that when they hire a pest control firm, all their worries as far as pests will disappear immediately. In some cases this may be true and in others it may take longer. Integrated Pest Management is when the homeowner works alongside their pest control firm to help achieve their same goal, which is to be pest free. What I mean by this is that they follow the suggestions the pest control professional offers to them. For example keeping shrubbery and trees trimmed away from their homes and making sure their shrubs are free of pests such as mealy bugs, scales, aphids and other pests which will excrete honeydew and can attract ants to their home. The pest professional may suggest that you seal entry points better so pests cannot enter the home, or that you remove debris and clutter that is surrounding your home, which can cause a pest infestation. He may mention the importance of keeping the areas of where he is placing bait cleaner and as much as possible food-free until the problem has subsided. The better the homeowner follows these suggestions, the quicker the pest infestation can be remedied. Please feel free to contact Premier Pest Management at any time during business hours to discuss this topic or anything else pertaining to pest control and we will be more than happy to assist you.
