Naples’ Nightlife
At night SW Florida comes to life with night clubs, art galleries, restaurants, theatrical productions, and sunset cruises.
The Performing Arts -- Known locally as "The Phil," the impressive Philharmonic Center for the Arts is the home of the Naples Philharmonic, but its year-round schedule is also filled with cultural events, concerts by celebrated artists and internationally known orchestras, and Broadway plays.
A fine local theater group, the Naples Players, holds its winter-season performances in the new Sugden Community Theatre. Tickets can be hard to come by, so plan your visit in advance or check our event calendar for more information.
The Club & Bar Scene -- Remember: Naples is not South Beach, nor does it pretend to be. It does, however, realize that some people like to party well past early-bird hours and, as a result, there are a few good spots here to get your groove on.
The restaurants and bistros along 5th Avenue South are popular outing locations, especially for young professional singles who make this their favorite local stop for Friday nights. Many Restaurants turn into high-energy nightclubs Friday and Saturday from 10:30pm to 2am. Nearby McCabe's Irish Pub, features traditional Irish music nightly. Or for a lot of camp with your cabaret try the Ridgway Bar and Grill, 3rd Street South and 13th Avenue.
In the 3rd Street South shopping area Old Naples Pub has live music nightly during the winter season and Wednesday through Saturday nights during the year.
The touristy Old Marine Marketplace at Tin City, which comprises the restored waterfront warehouses on 5th Avenue South on the west side of the Gordon River, comes alive in winter when visitors flock to its shops and the Riverwalk Fish & Ale House which features live entertainment during the winter too.
Some of the hotels have entertainment throughout the year. The beach side chickee hut bar at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is always popular and is the place to go on Sunday afternoon and early evening. So is the beach side bar at the Vanderbilt Inn Naples.
You’ll want to consult the Naples Daily News Showcase section for a current rundown of events. Meanwhile, we offer a sampling of ongoing highlights.
Annual holiday highlights vary from the Naples Bay Holiday Boat Parade and Third Street South Celebration of Lights to the New Year’s Art Festival. Nature lovers flock to the Southwest Florida Birding Festival and Clyde and Niki Butcher’s Labor Day Gala and Swamp Walk at Big Cypress Gallery. While sports enthusiasts vie for the best spot at the Swamp Buggy Races and Great Dock Canoe Races. Of course we can’t leave out food. Taste of Collier is a perennial favorite. As is the Everglades Seafood Festival and Mullet Fest. Did we mention the Naples Winter Wine Festival?
Naples full slate of activities only adds to the allure of living in one of the best towns to ever grace the Sunshine State.
